In a recent project at a facility in Fredericksburg, PA, our team at SWS Packaging delivered a customized conveyor system designed to enhance the operational efficiency of the packaging line. The system controls 38 individual conveyor sections, each capable of running both forward and reverse, allowing for manual operation to suit the specific needs of the workflow. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for handling a mix of wrapped and unwrapped loads. The system feeds into a Wulftec WCRT-175, a sophisticated stretch wrapper known for its speed and reliability. The intelligent design of the conveyor system, coupled with the WCRT-175’s capabilities, enables the automatic identification of loads requiring wrapping. Those that do not need additional wrapping can bypass the machine, streamlining the process. This integration optimizes the flow of goods through the packaging phase, ensuring that only the necessary items are wrapped, thereby saving on materials and time. This smart system underscores our commitment to providing tailored solutions that address the unique challenges and demands of our clients’ operations.
